Kyrsten Joseph was named Pitt-Johnstown's head strength and conditioning coach in October of 2024.
In her role as head strength and conditioning coach, Joseph works with the coaches and athletes of Pitt-Johnstown's 18 NCAA-sponsored sports to coordinate the strength and conditioning program. She is also the director of the Wellness Center at Pitt-Johnstown.
While completing a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and playing women’s basketball at Division II Frostburg State (MD) University, Joseph worked with athletic teams as a strength and conditioning intern in 2022.
Continuing her education on to a master’s degree in sports performance at Division III Lebanon Valley College, Joseph served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach and exercise science lab instructor, along with coaching at Power Train Sports and Fitness.
Joseph held a position as a sports performance coach at Richland Physical Therapy & Sports Performance from the summer of 2023, until serving as the head strength and conditioning coach at Pitt-Johnstown. During that time she also coached girls’ high school basketball.
Joseph is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist with the NSCA.
