Ashley DiRado finished with a game-high seven kills to lead the Lady Cat volleyball team to a 3-0 conference sweep over Cheyney University, Friday night in the Sports Center. Pitt-Johnstown defeated Cheyney University 25-10, 25-10, and 25-7 to make it seven straight victories and improve to 13-4 overall and 7-2 in the PSAC.
Marina Pecora had six kills and three digs, while
Beth Kendera and
Danielle Fleeger each added five kills.
Nikki Oakes finished with a game-high 14 assists and two service aces, and
Allison Mondorff added 13 assists.
Marissa Erminio had four kills, two service aces, and six digs.
Katie Svetahor also added nine digs.
Cheyney fell to 4-14 overall and 0-9 in the PSAC.
Pitt-Johnstown will host PSAC cross-over matches on October 18 against Gannon University at 11:30 a.m. and Mercyhurst University at 7:30 p.m., before hosting Slippery Rock University and Edinboro University on October 19 for two more PSAC cross-over matches.
