Lady Cats Fall to No.19 Gannon

19th ranked Gannon University jumped on the Lady Cats for five first half goals, including four in the first 21 minutes en route to dealing Pitt-Johnstown a 6-1 PSAC road loss on Saturday. The Lady Cats fell to 0-11-0 overall and 0-11-0 in the PSAC.
 
The Golden Knights started off the game strong, with Michelle Genetin in the second minute off of an assist from Mani Brueckner. Three minutes later, Justine Rodrigues scored on a header to make it 2-0.
 
Gannon wasn't done yet. Britney Barry scored in the 10th minute, before Brueckner and Rodrigues added two more goals to make it 5-0 at the break.
 
Brueckner added another goal in the 59th minute for the Golden Knights, before Kim Bonnett put the Lady Cats on the board with an assist from Alyssa Estel in the 89th minute.
 
Timi Shiock took the loss in goal for Pitt-Johnstown after seeing 26 Gannon shots, making six saves, but allowing all six goals. Sarah Geffel played in goal, before Kayla Wysocki finished the match for the Golden Knights. Geffel made one save and Wysocki made two saves and allowed one goal.
 
With the win, Gannon improved to 8-3-0 overall and 8-3-0 in the PSAC.
 
The Lady Cats return home to host a PSAC match against West Chester University on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before traveling to East Stroudsburg University on Oct. 19 for another conference match.
