Lady Cats Suffer Loss to West Chester

    West Chester University scored three goals in the first 11 minutes of the second half to break open a 2-0 halftime advantage en route to a 5-0 PSAC victory over the Lady Cats, Wednesday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. The Lady Cats fell to 0-12-0 overall and 0-12-0 in the PSAC.
 
Marie D'Angelo got the Golden Rams on the board in the eighth minute after knocking in a rebound off the goalkeeper, before Dana Hunt's header off of a cross from Lexi Lentz in the 15th minute put West Chester up 2-0 at the half.
 
The Golden Rams jumped on the Lady Cats in the second half with a pair of goals from Carly Yost in the 49th and 51st minutes. Lexi Brown then finished the scoring for West Chester in the 57th minute off an assist from Hunt.
 
Timi Shiock suffered the loss in goal for Pitt-Johnstown. Shiock saw 34 West Chester shots, made 11 saves, but allowed all five goals. Alex Srolis earned the shutout for the Golden Rams after making three saves.
 
West Chester improved to 9-4-0 overall and 8-4-0 in the PSAC.
 
Pitt-Johnstown travels to East Stroudsburg University on Saturday for a PSAC match, before traveling to Shippensburg University on Oct. 25 for another conference match.
