The Mountain Cats raced out to a 52-22 halftime advantage and never looked back in the 46-point win.
 
Laravie scored 18 points on 7-13 shooting, including 4-8 from behind the 3-point line to pace five Mountain Cats who scored in double figures.  Andrew Cressler had 17 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, while Shaheen collected a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds.  Bill Luther tallied 13 points, and Paul Weatherly finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Pitt-Johnstown.
 
With his two three-pointers, moved into sole possession of third-place on the Pitt-Johnstown All-Time 3-point field Goals List with 192.
 
The Mountain Cats dominated in every aspect.  Pitt-Johnstown, which out-rebounded the Lions 51-18, shot 46% (36-78) from the field, 10-32 from 3-point range, and 11-14 from the free-throw line.  Pitt-Johnstown held Penn State-New Kensington to just 32.1% (18-56) shooting, including just 1-5 from behind the 3-point line.
 
Shaquille Hager led Penn State-New Kensington, 0-1 to start the year, with 13 points.
 
Pitt-Johnstown travels to Indiana University (PA) to open the PSAC schedule on Wednesday, before returning home to host a conference doubleheader with the Lady Cats against Edinboro University on Saturday, November 23.  The Lady Cats will tip-off at 1 p.m., followed by the men's game at 3 p.m.
