No. 8 Wrestlers to Host #12 Kutztown for Friday's Alumni Night

Head Coach Pat Pecora's eighth-ranked Mountain Cat wrestlers, winners of 16 straight dual meets dating back to last season, will host 12th-ranked Kutztown University for Alumni Night on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.

The Mountain Cats opened the season with an impressive 42-6 win over 16th-ranked University of Findlay (OH) on Nov. 13 and a 34-6 victory over West Liberty (WV) University on Wednesday to extend their winning streak to 16 straight matches.
 
The Mountain Cats are led by All-Americans Dave Fogle (125 lbs.), Dave Cawley (149 lbs.), and Travis McKillop (184 lbs.), and National Qualifiers Evan Link (133 lbs.), Gary Lantz (165 lbs.), and Josh Duplin (285 lbs.).
 
Nationally, McKillop is second at 184 lbs., while Cawley is sixth at 149 lbs., Fogle is seventh at 125 lbs., and Duplin is eighth at 285 lbs.
 
Eight Mountain Cats are ranked in the Super Region I rankings, including, Cawley and McKillop who are both ranked first.  Fogle is second, and Lantz and Duplin are both third.  In addition, Link and Nikos Garafola (174 lbs.) are both fifth, and Zak Newton (197 lbs.) is sixth.
 
Kutztown, ranked 12th nationally under 13th-year Head Coach Rob Fisher, is 2-1 after the University of Maryland Terrapin Duals on Nov. 3.  Kutztown defeated Alderson-Broaddus (WV) 47-3 and Johns Hopkins (MD) 27-3, and suffered a 35-0 loss to Maryland.
 
The Golden Bears are led by 2013 All-American and NCAA No. 1-ranked Ziad Haddad (285 lbs.) and National Qualifiers Evan Yenolevich (133 lbs.) and Mitch Voelker (141 lbs.).
 
Last season, the Mountain Cats visited 18th-ranked Kutztown on Nov. 21, and dealt the Golden Bears a 24-17 loss.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to East Stroudsburg University on Tuesday and to the 2013 PSAC Championships at Edinboro University on Dec. 7.  The Mountain Cats will not return to the Sports Center until Jan. 25 when they host Millersville University at 7 p.m.
