Lady Cat Soccer Suffers 2-0 Loss at Shepherd
10/21/12... (Box Score) Shepherd (WV) University used a goal in each half to deal the Lady Cat soccer team a 2-0 WVIAC road loss on Sunday. With the loss, Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 11-5-0 overall and 5-4-0 in conference-play.

Morgan Gabriel's unassisted goal in the 33rd minute put the Rams up 1-0 at the break.
Kelsey Smith then finished an assist from Taylor Amsley five minutes into the second half to increase the Shepherd lead to 2-0.

That's all Tessa Jones needed in net for the Rams. Jones held the Lady Cats scoreless and was forced to make just three saves on 11 Pitt-Johnstown shots.

Timi Shiock (Punxsutawney, Pa.) suffered the loss for the Lady Cats after allowing both goals. Shiock faced 20 shots and made seven saves.

The Rams improved to 5-7-3 overall and 4-3-2 in the WVIAC.

The Lady Cats travel to a WVIAC match at Davis & Elkins (WV) College on Wednesday, before wrapping-up the 2012 regular season with a non-conference match at Carlow University on Saturday.
