Lady Cats Win Third Straight After, 63-44, Victory at Alderson-Broaddus

Krista Britcher (Johnstown, Pa.) poured in a game-high 19 points off of the bench to lead the Lady Cats to a, 63-44, victory at WVIAC rival Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College, Saturday evening. Head Coach Sasha Palmer's team made it three straight wins and improved to 8-11 overall and 7-5 in the WVIAC.
Pitt Johnstown, which stands alone in eighth place in conference play, held Alderson-Broaddus to just 6-28 shooting in the first half on its way to building a, 31-16, halftime lead. The Lady Cats maintained the lead the rest of the way, en route to the 19-point win.
Britcher's 19 points on 6-9 shooting from the field and a perfect 6-6 from the free-throw line led four Lady Cats who scored in double figures. Chrissy Forster (Lewisberry, Pa.) scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and made four steals, while Jill Maurer (Johnstown, Pa.) added 12 points and seven rebounds. Freshman Sheena Aden (Sandy Lake, Pa.) rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points and tallied game-highs of eight rebounds and seven assists. Forster also connected on three three-pointers, and Aden made four steals in the victory.
The Lady Cats shot just 40.0% (22-55) from the field, but held the Battlers to 31.5% (17-54) shooting for the game. Pitt Johnstown also made six three-pointers and went 13-14 (92.9%) from the free-throw line. The Lady Cats out rebounded Alderson-Broaddus, 40-30.
Chelsea Kuehner finished with 11 points and five rebounds to account for the only Battler to score in double figures. Caitlyn Brown scored eight points, and Katie Pollak pulled down seven rebounds. With the loss, Alderson-Broaddus fell to 2-18 overall and 1-12 in league play.
The Lady Cats will host Glenville State (WV) College on Monday as part of a doubleheader with the Mountain Cats in the Sports Center. The Lady Cats will tip-off on Monday at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
