Lady Cat Soccer Shuts Out St. Vincent, 2-0

Lindsey Plowman (Apollo, Pa.) and Alicia Zack (Irwin, Pa.) each scored goals to lead the Lady Cat soccer team to a 2-0 non-conference road win at Saint Vincent College, Tuesday afternoon. Pitt-Johnstown snapped a three-match losing streak and improved to 3-4-0.
Plowman found the lower right corner of the net behind Saint Vincent goalkeeper Kirstie Mills in the 10th minute to give the Lady Cats an early 1-0 lead. Pitt-Johnstown, which outshot the Bearcats 23-3, held the one-gaol advantage until the 83rd minute when Zack took Lanie Thompson's (Pittsburgh, Pa.) pass and beat Mills to increase the lead and set the final at 2-0.
Stephanie Paha (Slickville, Pa.) made three saves to earn her second shutout of the year and improve to 2-3-0. Mills made 10 saves for Saint Vincent in the loss.
The Bearcats dropped to 1-7-0 on the year.
The Lady Cats return home to host WVIAC matches against Shepherd (WV) University on Saturday at noon and Salem International (WV) University on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
