Women's Soccer Dealt 7-0 Loss By Gannon

The Lady Cat soccer team fell behind 2-0 in the first half and suffered a 7-0 loss to NSCAA Atlantic Region #6 Gannon University, Sunday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer field. Pitt-Johnstown dropped to 2-7-0 on the season.
Heather Patterson scored a pair of goals in the first 15 minutes to give Gannon a 2-0 lead. The Golden Knights then added five more goals in the second half, including back-to-back goals in less than a minute by Amanda Sharbaugh, to set the final at 7-0.
Stephanie Paha (Slickville, Pa.) faced 22 Gannon shots and made five saves in the loss. Paha is now 2-5-0. Sabrina Chirco made three saves to earn the shutout in goal for the Golden Knights.
Gannon, which improved to 6-2-1, ousthot the Lady Cats 22-5 and held a 12-3 advantage in shots on-goal.
The Lady Cats host #15 West Virginia Wesleyan College for a WVIAC match on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m., before traveling to Ohio Valley (WV) University for another league game on Friday.
