Lady Cat Soccer Falls 1-0 at Home To Seton Hill

The Lady Cat soccer team surrendered just one goal, but it proved to be the game-winner, as Seton Hill University dealt Pitt-Johnstown a 1-0 home loss Thursday afternoon in WVIAC action. The Lady Cats fell to 3-10-0 overall and 2-5-0 in conference play.
Desiree Gonzalez took Danielle Owens' free kick in the 17th minute and fond the back of the net behind Pitt-Johnstown goalkeeper Stephanie Paha (Slickville, Pa.) to notch the match's lone goal.
Paha faced 19 shots, including 10 on-goal, and made nine saves, but took the loss and fell to 3-8-0. Seton Hill goalkeeper Sam Gilarski saw 11 shots and made three saves to earn the victory.
With the win, the Griffins improved to 7-6-1 overall and 5-2-0 in the WVIAC.
The Lady Cats travel to Bloomsburg University on Saturday and to Indiana University (PA) on Tuesday for non-conference matches, before hosting a WVIAC match against the University of Charleston (WV) on Friday, October 17 at 4:00 p.m.
