Lady Cat Soccer Falls at Seton Hill

Alysha Alaimo scored two goals to help Seton Hill University deal the Lady Cat soccer team a 3-0 WVIAC road loss Wednesday afternoon in Greensburg. Pitt-Johnstown dropped to 2-11-0 overall and 1-7-0 in the WVIAC.
Alaimo scored in the 22nd minute to give the Griffins a 1-0 halftime lead.
Seton Hill made it 2-0 on Madison Gourley's goal three minutes into the second half, before Alaimo tallied her second goal of the match less than two minutes later to set the final at 3-0.
Lady Cat goalkeeper Timi Shiock (Punxsutawney, Pa.) faced 27 Seton Hill shots and allowed all three goals. Shiock also made 12 saves. Bethany Winter and Lindsay Lash combined to earn the shutout in goal for the Griffins.
With the win, Seton Hill improved to 8-6-1 overall and 4-3-0 in the WVIAC.
The Lady Cats will host a non-conference match against Salem International (WV) University on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Point Stadium, before finishing the 2011 season with a home WVIAC match against Shepherd (WV) University for Senior Day on October 26.
