Lady Cat Soccer Falls at Atlantic Region #7 Bloomsburg

Bloomsburg University, ranked #7 in this week's NSCAA Division II Atlantic Region Poll, built a 2-0 halftime lead and added three more goals in the second half to deal the Lady Cat soccer team a 5-0 road loss, Saturday afternoon. With the loss, Pitt-Johnstown fell to 3-11-0 on the season.
Kelly Stoka scored three goals and collected an assist to lead the Huskies. Stoka opened the scoring with an unassisted goal in the eighth minute, before second half goals in the 48th and 78th minutes. Jourdan Fedusenko and Kelly Modes also found the back of the net for Bloomsburg in the win.
Pitt-Johnstown goalkeeper Stephanie Paha (Slickville, Pa.) faced 31 shots and made seven saves, but gave up the five goals and dropped to 3-9-0 on the season. Frances Nicoletti saw just seven Lady Cat shots and made two saves to earn the shutout.
Bloomsburg raised its record to 10-3-0 with the victory.
The Lady Cats travel to Indiana University (PA) on Tuesday for a non-conference match, before hosting a WVIAC match against the University of Charleston (WV) on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
