Women's Soccer Scores 4-0 Shutout at Salem International

Pitt Johnstown sophomore midfielder Lindsay Plowman (Apollo, Pa.) scored a pair of goals to lead the Pitt Johnstown women's soccer team to a 4-0 win at WVIAC rival Salem International (WV) University on Thursday. Head Coach Crystal Dye's team, which recorded its seventh shutout of the season, improved to 7-8-0 overall and 3-5-0 in WVIAC play.
Along with Plowman, freshman midfielder Alissa Falcone (Murrysville, Pa.) and sophomore defender Emily Babik (St. Mary's, Pa.) added one goal apiece to secure the shutout and end Pitt Johnstown's three-match losing skid.
With the win, Pitt Johnstown swept the two-match season series between the two schools by a combined score of 14-0.
With the loss, Salem International dropped to 0-10-0 overall and 0-10-0 in the WVIAC.
Pitt Johnstown will host Concord (WV) University for a WVIAC match on Sunday at noon, before traveling to Shepherd (WV) University for another WVIAC match on Wednesday.
