Volleyball Cruises to Sweep Over Mount Aloysius

Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.) and Taylor Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) combined for 24 kills to lead the Lady Cat volleyball team to a convincing 25-9, 25-19, 25-17 sweep over Mount Aloysius College, Monday night in the Sports Center. Pitt-Johnstown made it two straight sweeps and evened its overall record at 4-4.
Kendera collected 13 kills, four block solos and a block assist, while Hrescak added 11 kills and 14 digs. Linsday Roush (Johnstown, Pa.) chipped in eight kills, and Jessica Heidenthal (Clymer, Pa.) had six kills.
Taylor King (York, Pa.) paced Pitt-Johnstown with 19 set assists, and Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) was one behind with 18.
Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) had a game-high 18 digs for the Lady Cats.
Mariah McDowell's five kills, and Lauren Oldham's four kills led the way for Mount Aloysius, which fell to 4-6.
The Lady Cats before travel to WVIAC matches at Seton Hill University on Wednesday, Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College on Friday and Davis & Elkins (WV) College on Saturday, before hosting a non-conference match against Point Park University on Thursday, September 30 at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
