Volleyball Suffers 3-0 Loss at Alderson-Broaddus

Taylor Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) had eight kills and 13 digs, but Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College was too much and ended the Lady Cat volleyball team's three-match winning streak with a 25-22, 25-19, 25-19 victory, Friday night in Philippi, WV. Pitt-Johnstown is now 5-5 overall and 3-2 in the WVIAC.
Lindsay Roush (Johnstown, Pa.) added five kills, and Ashley Dirado (Greensburg, Pa.) had four kills, a block solo and a block assist.
Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.) chipped in two block solos and two block assists, and Taylor King (York, Pa.) collected 13 set assists for the Lady Cats. Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) led the way for Pitt-Johnstown with 18 digs.
With the sweep, Alderson-Broaddus evened its overall record at 7-7 and stayed unbeaten in WVIAC play at 3-0.
The Lady Cats before travel to a WVIAC match at Davis & Elkins (WV) College on Saturday, before returning home to start a stretch of four straight home matches beginning with a non-conference match against Point Park University on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
