After a pair of road conference matches last week, the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team returns home to host a PSAC Western Division match against California (PA) on Friday at 6 p.m. in the Sports Center.

Head Coach Justin Haupt's Mountain Cats, 9-7 overall and 3-4 in conference-play, look to bounce back from a 3-1 loss at Gannon last Friday, and a 3-0 setback at Edinboro on Saturday.  Ellie Zuro Cirino and Kiara Harmon led the way with 16 and 12 kills, respectively against the Golden Knights, before Caroline Knight collected a match-high 14 kills against the Fighting Scots.

Third-year Head Coach Audrey Emerich and the Cal U Vulcans enter the match at 8-14 overall and 2-5 in the PSAC West follow Tuesday's five set, non-Conference loss at Charleston (WV).   Olivia Weiseman finished with a match-high 18 hills and Kasie Meek added nine kills against the Golden Eagles.  The Vulcans also suffered a 3-2 home conference loss to Clarion last Friday, then rebounded for a 3-1 win over Slippery Rock on Saturday.

Pitt-Johnstown has won six of the last seven meetings between the two teams, including a 3-0 victory in California to kick-off PSAC West action on Sept. 18.  Knight and Zuro Cirino each had 10 kills for the Mountain Cats, while Olivia Weiseman had seven kills for Cal U.

Following Friday's match, Pitt-Johnstown will hit the road for three straight PSAC West matches beginning at Slippery Rock on Oct. 23.  The Mountain Cats will return to the Sports Center on Oct. 31 to host a conference match against Seton Hill at noon.
