Volleyball Swept at Davis & Elkins

Jessica Heidenthal (Clymer, Pa.) had a team-high eight kills, but Davis & Elkins dealt the Lady Cat volleyball team a 25-12, 28-26, 25-20 road loss, Saturday afternoon. Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 5-6 overall and 3-3 in the WVIAC.
Taylor Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) had five kills and five digs, while Taylor King (York, Pa.) added 10 set assists and five digs. Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) collected seven assists, and Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) had a team-best 14 digs in the loss.
With the sweep, Davis & Elkins improved to 5-9 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
The Lady Cats return home to start a stretch of four straight home matches beginning with a non-conference match against Point Park University on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
