Volleyball Wins 3-1 at Mount Aloysius

Jessica Heidenthal (Clymer, Pa.) and Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.) each had 12 kills to lead the Lady Cat volleyball to a 25-11, 25-8, 23-25, 25-17 non-conference victory at Mount Aloysius College, Wednesday night. Pitt-Johnstown has won four straight matches and improved to 9-8.
Heidenthal finished the match with 12 kills, a block solo and two block assists, while Kendera had 12 kills, a pair of block solos and five block assists.
Taylor Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) chipped in 11 kills and three service aces, and Kayla Brandle (Johnstown, Pa.) had nine kills and three block assists.
Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) (25 aces) and Taylor King (York, Pa.) (16 assists) combined for 41 set assists in the victory. Petrilla also had three aces, and King ended with 10 digs.
Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) led the way for the Lady Cats with 14 digs.
With the loss, Mount Aloysius fell to 4-14 on the year.
The Lady Cats travel to West Virginia State University and the University of Charleston (WV) for WVIAC matches on Friday and Saturday, before finishing a stretch of five consecutive raod matches at Penn State-Altoona on Tuesday.
