Volleyball Sweeps Bluefield State on Senior Day

Taylor Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) had 11 kills and nine digs in a 25-15, 25-13, 25-20 Lady Cat volleyball home Senior Day sweep over Bluefield State (WV) College, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center. Pitt-Johnstown improved to 12-10 overall and 8-5 in the WVIAC.
Along with Hrescak, Ashley Dirado (Greensburg, Pa.) had seven kills and a pair of block solos, while Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.), Jessica Heidenthal (Clymer, Pa.) and Kayla Brandle (Johnstown, Pa.) all had five kills. Kendera also had a block and two blocks assists.
Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) collected a team-high 17 set assists. Taylor King (York, Pa.) chipped in 15 assists.
Kelsey Kohler's (Johnstown, Pa.) 11digs led the way for the Lady Cats.
Kiara Watkins had 11 kills and 20 digs for the Big Blues, which fell to 1-26 overall and 0-11 in the WVIAC.
Prior to the match, Head Coach Linda Renzi and the Lady Cat volleyball program recognized this year's seniors...Kayla Brandle (Johnstown, Pa.), Taylor Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) and Taylor King (York, Pa.).
The Lady Cats will wrap-up the regular season with a WVIAC match at Fairmont State (WV) University on Saturday, before beginning the 2010 WVIAC Tournament the following week.
