Volleyball Swept at Fairmont State

Sam Link (Ebensburg, Pa.) collected nine kills, but it wasn't enough as the Lady Cat volleyball team suffered a 3-0 non-conference loss at Fairmont State (WV) University on Tuesday. Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 0-5.
Fairmont State swept the Lady Cats 25-17, 25-20, 25-15.
Along with Link, Taylor Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) had seven kills and nine digs, and Kristin Irwin (Bellefonte, Pa.) tallied six kills. Head Coach Linda Renzi also got 15 set assists from Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.), 11 assists Taylor King (York, Pa.) and 17 digs from Abby Gearhart (Elton, Pa.).
With the sweep, Fairmont State improved to 7-3.
