Volleyball Swept at Home By Seton Hill

Jessica Heidenthal (Clymer, Pa.) had a team-high eight kills, and Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.) added five kills and six block solos, but Seton Hill University came into the Sports Center Wednesday night and dealt the Lady Cat volleyball team a 25-23, 25-21, 25-17 WVIAC loss. Pitt-Johnstown fell to 6-12 overall and 3-4 in the WVIAC.
Karen Schmidt (Boswell, Pa.) collected six kills and six digs, while Nikki Oakes (Pittsburgh, Pa.) (15 assists) and Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) (10 assists) combined for 25 set assists for the Lady Cats.
Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) led both teams with 18 digs. Cassie Heatherly (Glendale, AZ) and Petrilla each finished with eight digs for Pitt-Johnstown.
With the victory, Seton Hill improved to 18-8 overall and 4-1 in the WVIAC.
The Lady Cats host WVIAC matches against the University of Charleston (WV) on Friday at 6 p.m., West Virginia State University on Saturday at 2 p.m., and Shepherd (WV) University on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
