Volleyball Drops Two Matches at Point Park Tri-Match

Head Coach Linda Renzi's Lady Cat volleyball team suffered a pair of three-games-to-none losses to Gannon University and the host school at Saturday's tri-match at Point Park University. With the loss, the Lady cats have dropped six straight matches and fell to 1-6.
Pitt Johnstown junior middle hitter Kristin Irwin (Bellefonte, Pa.) paced the Lady Cats with 11 kills, while Casey Jo Ritenour (Latrobe, Pa.) and Kelly Miller (Stoystown, Pa.) added nine kills apiece in the tri-match. Coach Renzi also got 24 and nine assists respectively from junior Merissa Larrew (Irwin, Pa.) and freshman Taylor King (York, Pa.) and five digs from defensive specialist Katie Shadron (Ligonier, Pa.).
The Lady Cats will host to local rival Mount Aloysius College on Monday and WVIAC conference rival Shepherd (WV) University on Wednesday. Both matches will start at at 7:00 p.m. in the Sports Center.
