Women's Volleyball Falls, 3-1, at Seton Hill

Pitt Johnstown sophomore middle hitter Megan Lasut (Central City, Pa.) collected 11 kills and eight block assists, but it wasn't enough, as the Lady Cat volleyball team suffered a three-games-to-one WVIAC loss at Seton Hill University, Monday night. Pitt Johnstown, which had its five-match win streak snapped, fell to 8-10 overall and 5-5 in the WVIAC.
The Lady Cats dropped the first two games 28-30 and 24-30, before earning a 31-29 win in game three. However, the Griffins claimed the match with a 30-15 victory in game four.
Pitt Johnstown junior middle hitter Kristin Irwin (Bellefonte, Pa.) had eight kills and six block assists, while freshman outside hitter Taylor Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) added four kills. Head Coach Linda Renzi also got a team-high 20 assists from Merissa Larrew (Irwin, Pa.) and 13 assists from freshman Taylor King (York, Pa.).
With the win, Seton Hill raised its record to 8-9 overall and 6-4 in WVIAC play.
The Lady Cats return home to host conference matches against the University of Charleston on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and West Virginia State University on Saturday at noon.
