Lady Cat Volleyball Splits Matches at Mount Aloysius Tri-Match

Head Coach Linda Renzi and the Lady Cat volleyball team split a pair of matches at Saturday's tri-match at Mount Aloysius College. After sweeping Hillbert (NY) College, 3-0, Pitt Johnstown suffered a three-games-to-two loss to the host school. Lady Cat junior outside hitter Abbey Hrescak (Johnstown,Pa.) combined for 23 kills and 21 digs in the two matches. Pitt Johnstown is now 12-14 on the season.
In the second match, Pitt Johnstown fell to Mount Aloysius, 26-30, 30-26, 30-15, 23-30 and 14-16. Hrescak added 16 more kills and 14 more digs, and freshman outside hitter Lara Groetzinger (Cumberland, MD) had 21 kills. Davison collected 49 assists and Hildebrand had 24 more digs.
The Lady Cats host Penn State-Altoona for Senior Night on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Sports Center.
