Zapf, a graduate of North Hills High School and a 2006-07 Preseason Women's Division II Bulletin Honorable Mention All-American, is averaging 17.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game on her way to leading Pitt Johnstown to a 15-5 record and the current #7-ranking in the East Region. Her 56.5% Field Goal Percentage ranks eighth in NCAA Division II. Zapf also ranks 39th in the country in Points Per Game and 53rd in Rebounds Per Game. Zapf's 77.4% (106-137) free-throw percentage, 13 blocked shots and 38 steals are all second on the team, while her 33 assists rank fourth on the team.
With her 17 points and eight rebounds against California University (PA) on Wednesday, Zapf ranks 19th on the Lady Cat All-Time Scoring List with 1,155 points and sixth on Lady Cat All-Time Rebounding List with 785 career rebounds.
Academically, Zapf has been on the Dean's List every semester in college. She has been inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma Freshman Honor Society, Pi Lambda Theta Education Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Senior Honor Society. Zapf, a recipient of a Leadership Scholarship at Pitt Johnstown, is also a two-year president of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Joining Zapf on the All-Academic District II First Team are Sarah Grab (West Virginia Wesleyan), Julie Anderson (Mercyhurst), Katie Glaws (Indiana University (PA) and Tiffany Acker (Shepherd (WV) University).
