Pitt-Johnstown Suffers Loss to Bloomsburg

Bloomsburg University scored three goals in the first 23 minutes to build a 3-0 half time lead in route to a 4-1 PSAC victory over the Lady Cats on Saturday at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. The Lady Cats dropped to 0-4-0 overall and 0-4-0 in the PSAC.
 
Jenna Fisher took Taylor Gernstendfield's pass from midfield and turned it into a breakaway goal to open the breakaway goal 17 minutes into the match. Fisher then assisted on Jessy Shober's goal three minutes later, before Chrissy Hollan received a cross from Julia Rios and scored to put Bloomsburg up 3-0 at the half.
 
Pitt-Johnstown fought back with their first goal of the season from Jackie Becerra off of a penalty kick in the 51st minute.
 
However, Bloomsburg answered with an insurance goal from Fisher in the 81st minute to set the final score at 4-1.
 
Leeann Gorman took the loss in net for Pitt-Johnstown after making 10 saves and allowing all four goals. Danielle Fiorelli earned the win after playing the first half. Victoria Albert replaced Fiorelli in the second half for the Huskies. Fiorelli made two saves. Albert allowed one goal.
 
With the win, Bloomsburg improved to 3-2-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the PSAC.
 
The Lady Cats host a PSAC match against Mansfield University on Wednesday at 4:30 at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before traveling to Kutztown University for another conference match on Saturday.
