Lady Cats Fall to #24 Slippery Rock

24th-ranked Slipper Rock University scored a pair of goals in each half to hand the Lady Cat soccer team a 4-0 PSAC loss on Saturday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. The Lady Cats fell to 0-8-0 overall and 0-8-0 in the PSAC.
 
The Rock opened the scoring in the fourth minute when Dara Demich finished Ariana's Daukss' cross in the box. Allison Harbart added another goal 16 minutes later to put The Rock up 2-0 at the half.
 
Andrea Felix got an outside pass from Crysta Ganter to increase it to 3-0 15 minutes into the second half, before Nicole Krueger scored off of a rebound from Caitlin Binder in the 70th minute to set the final at 4-0.
 
Leeann Gorman suffered the loss in goal for the Lady Cats. Gorman saw 32 Slippery Rock shots, made 11 saves, but surrendered all four goals. Dana O'Neill earned the shutout after making three saves to help The Rock improve to 5-1-1 overall, and 4-1-1 in the PSAC.
 
The Lady Cats travel to Edinboro University for PSAC match on Friday, before hosting a conference match against Mercyhurst University, Oct. 9 at 4:00 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnston Soccer Field.
