Slippery Rock University scored seven first half goals, including three each by Nicole Krueger and Tess Keeley, on its way to defeating the Lady Cat soccer team a 10-0 PSAC road loss on Saturday. Pitt-Johnstown dropped to 0-10-0 overall and 0-9-0 in conference-play.

Sam Thornton opened the scoring in fourth minute off of a corner kick, before Keeley notched her first of the half four minutes later.

Krueger then took over for The Rock. Krueger scored three straight goals in the 21
st, 27
th and 32
nd minutes to build the lead to 5-0.

Slippery Rock, which outshot the Lady Cats 36-4, wasn't done yet. Keeley added her second and third goals of the half in the 38
th and 40
th minutes to give The Rock a 7-0 halftime advantage.

Andrea Felix netted her first of two second half goals in the 55
th minute, and Hannah Kengerski added one more in the 86
th minute to set the final at 10-0.

Leeann Gorman made 13 saves, but allowed all 10 goals in net for Pitt-Johnstown. Annabelle Hegeman and Shannon Mahoney each played a half in goal for Slippery Rock to combine for the shutout.

With the win, Slippery Rock improved to 6-2-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the PSAC.

The Lady Cats travel to Davis & Elkins (WV) College for a non-conference match on Tuesday, before hosting a PSAC match against Kutztown University on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.Â
