Davis and Elkins Deals Lady Cats 4-1 Road Loss

2014Davis and Elkins (WV) College scored three first half goals, including one in the first minute of play, en route to a 4-1 non-conference victory over Pitt-Johnstown, Tuesday afternoon in Elkins, W.Va. Karley Staffen score the lone goal for the Lady Cats, who fell to 0-11-0 overall. 

Taylor Morton opened the scoring for the Senators 46 seconds into the match. Laia Dordas added another unassisted goal in the 31st minute, before Kaitlyn Bouni scored three minutes later off of an assist from Emma Davis to end the half at 3-0. 

Staffen got the Lady Cats on the scoreboard in the 86th minute from Maura Koshute's assist, but Davis & Elkins added an insurance goal in the 90th minute to make it 4-1. 

Timi Shiock saw 22 Senator shots, made six saves, but took the loss in net for Pitt-Johnstown. Ashley Winkelspecht earned the win for Davis and Elkins after making one save and allowing one goal.  

Pitt-Johnstown will host a PSAC match against Kutztown University on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before traveling to Mercyhurst University for another conference match on Tuesday.
