Pitt-Johnstown got 11 kills and six digs from
Cambria Wierman to help the Lady Cat volleyball team earn the second seed in the PSAC Eastern Division for next week's conference tournament with a 25-18, 25-20, 25-14 sweep at Millersville University on Saturday. Pitt-Johnstown wrapped-up the regular season at 19-12 overall and 13-9 in the PSAC.

The Lady Cats started fast by opening up an 8-1 lead in the first set. Millersville got it down to 20-14, but Pitt-Johnstown was able to take the set 25-18.

In the second set, Pitt-Johnstown opened-up a 20-16 advantage, and took a 2-sets-to-none lead with a 25-20 win.

The Lady Cats closed out the sweep with a lopsided, 25-14 win in the third set. Pitt-Johnstown started the set with a 7-2 run, then extended it to 17-6, before coasting to the victory.

Along with Wierman,
Delaney Roman had nine kills and 10 digs, and
Kendall Mahony added seven kills and two clock assists. Pitt-Johnstown also got five kills and four block assists from
Madeline George in the victory.

Nikki Oakes (17 assists) and
Nicole Curran (13 assists) combined for 30 set assists, and
Devan Orr finished with a match-high 20 digs.

Kayla Wallace had seven kills to pace Millersville, which season came to an end with a 14-17 overall record and a 7-15 mark in the PSAC.

The Lady Cats tip-off the 2014 PSAC Tournament with an opening round match in the Sports Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m. with a victory on Tuesday, Pitt-Johnstown will advance to the conference semifinals on Saturday at a location to be determined.Â
