Edinboro's Henri Wade-Chatman hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime, but the Mountain Cats outscored the Fighting Scots by nine in the extra period to snap a four-game losing streak with a 91-82 PSAC West road victory on Saturday.Â
Bill Luther's seven 3-pointers and game-high 25 points paced Pitt-Johnstown, now 11-9 overall and 4-6 in the conference.

Seven points from Jonathan Logan and a 3-pointer from Wade-Chatman helped Edinboro race out to a 14-6 lead 5:30 into the game.

The Mountain Cats responded with an 18-7 run over the next six minutes behind eight points from
A.J. Leahey to go in front 24-21 at the 8:28 mark.

After Logan's 3-pointer gave the lead back to the Fighting Scots, Luther connected on three of his 13 first half points to give the Mountain Cats a 33-29 advantage.

Edinboro came back again to retake the lead, but a late free-throw from
Ian Vescovi knotted it at 37 at the break.

It stayed close the entire second half second half.  Pitt-Johnstown was able to open-up a 59-52 advantage on
Jake Laravie's 3-pointer with 6:56 to play, but the Fighting Scots used a 14-5 run over the next three minutes to regain the lead 66-64 on a pair of Alex Moore free-throws at 2:53.

With 12 seconds on the clock, Luther's sixth 3-pointer of the day broke a 69-69 tie, but Wade Chatman answered with a 3-pointer of his own as time expired to force overtime.

It was all Pitt-Johnstown in the extra period. Another 3-pointer from Luther put the Mountain Cats up by eight at the midway point. Pitt-Johnstown then made 10-12 from the free-throw line in the final 1:20 to seal the win.

Luther's game-high 25 points led four Mountain Cats who scored in double figures.
Matt Palo had 13 points and seven rebounds, while
Nate Snodgrass and Leahey tallied 13 and 12 points, respectively. Pitt-Johnstown also got nine points and seven rebounds from Vescovi, and eight points and five rebounds from
Paul Weatherly in the win.

th on the Mountain Cat All-Time Scoring List with 1,131 points and third on the career-3-Point Field Goals List with 242.

The Mountain Cats shot 49.2% (29-59) from the floor, 12-20 from 3-point range, and 21-30 from the free-throw line. Edinboro was held to just 38.7% (29-75) shooting, including just 10-34 from behind the 3-point line. The Fighting Scots were also 14-21 from the charity stripe.

Wade-Chatman scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Bryan Theriot had 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds to lead the Fighting Scots, which fell to 8-11 overall and 1-8 in the PSAC West.

The Mountain Cats host a conference doubleheader with the Lady Cats against Clarion on Wednesday starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Sports Center, before traveling to Slippery Rock for another conference game on Saturday.
