Lady Cats Fall at Homecoming against Edinboro

Edinboro University scored a pair of goals in each half to defeat Pitt-Johnstown 4-0 Saturday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. The Lady Cats dropped to 0-8-0 overall and 0-7-0 in the PSAC. 

Ashley Mutkus opened the scoring in the fifth minute from a direct kick, before Grace Kereky added another unassisted goal from a long shot. 

The second half scoring began with a goal from Becca Costello in the 53rd minute off of a penatly kick. Three minutes later, Jansen Hartmann finished a cross in the box from Liz Debo to finish the scoring and earn the Fighting Scots the 4-0 victory.

Leeann Gorman suffered the loss in net for Pitt-Johnstown after seeing 31 Edinboro shots, making 13 saves, but allowing all four goals. Meghan Kelly earned the shutout in goal for the Fighting Scots after making three saves. 

Pitt-Johnstown will host a PSAC match against California University (PA) on Tuesday 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before traveling to Slippery Rock University for another conference match on Saturday.
