Olivia McCabe led Pitt-Johnstown to a victory for the third consecutive game, totaling a game-high 18 points and 13 rebounds in a 66-46 defeat of Salem (W. Va.) International University Tuesday inside the Pitt-Johnstown Sports Center.
McCabe has recorded a double-double in her last four games. In those four games, she is averaged 15.5 points and 11.8 rebounds each game. Jamie Tabon also added 10 points and nine rebounds in 18 minutes of play.

The Lady Cats advanced to 4-2 overall with the win and currently own a three-game winning streak.

Every active player on Pitt-Johnstown's roster chipped in with scoring production. The Lady Cats outscored their opponents in bench points, 29-7.

Salem International had a better field goal and three-point field goal percentage, but did not have as many opportunities to shoot the ball. Pitt-Johnstown outshot the Tigers 73-42 overall and in shots from beyond the arc (35-5).

The Lady Cats got on the board first 18 seconds into the game when McCabe made a layup of off an assist from Agnese Aramina. Salem International was able to answer with a layup of their own from Jiahna Flood-Francais with 7:42 left in the first quarter, tying the game at 2-2.

The lead changed seven times throughout the first period until the Lady Cats scored six straight points to end the period. Kayla DeCriscio hit a buzzer beating three-pointer to put Pitt-Johnstown up 14-9 going into the second.

In the second quarter, UPJ ran out to a 22-15 advantage after a layup from Nicole Corcoran with 6:32 left in the half. The Tigers responded by scoring seven points in two minutes to knot the score at 22.

After a free throw from McCabe, Salem's Toi Brown hit a jumper to give the Tigers a 24-23 lead with 3:02 to go in the half. Pitt-Johnstown quickly retorted 21 seconds later with a layup in the paint from Laurel O'Barto to retake the lead.

The Lady Cats closed the half on a 10-2 run and entered halftime with a 33-26 edge. The team extended their lead to 19 in the third quarter when they got out to a 9-0 run in second half's first six minutes to give themselves a 45-26 advantage.

Pitt-Johnstown's five second half three-point shots, including two from Olivia Rizzo, along with a five-point third quarter performance from the Tigers helped the Lady Cats secure the win.

Brown had a team-high 15 points and three steals while Samantha Aiken added eight points and 10 rebounds for Salem International, who fell to 0-5 overall after being defeated.

Pitt-Johnstown is to begin a stretch of four consecutive road games with PSAC contests at Seton Hill University Dec. 1 and Kutztown University Dec. 4. The Lady Cats are to play their next home game Dec. 15 at 5:30 p.m. against the University of Charleston (W. Va.).
