Nicole Corcoran scored a career-high 14 points, but Kutztown University never trailed and built a 27-point second half advantage on its way to dealing the Lady Cats an 88-65 PSAC Crossover loss, Friday night in Kutztown. Pitt-Johnstown fell to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the PSAC West.

Ana Hollen free-throws tied it at two to start, but that was as close as Pitt-Johnstown could keep it.

Kutztown opened-up an 11-6 lead on Keifonna Ferguson's basket four minutes in, before a jumper from
Victoria Moreland got the Lady Cats back to within three.

The Golden Bears then went on to outscore Pitt-Johnstown 9-1 to build a nine-point advantage after one quarter. Taylor Thames' bucket increased it to eight, and a pair of free-throws from Sela Fuhrman with 15 seconds left gave Kutztown a 20-9 lead.

The Lady Cats narrowed it to 20-13 on
Olivia McCabe's put-back to open the second quarter, but the Golden Rams used a 12-2 run over the next seven minutes to make it 37-17 on back-to-back Jenna Altomare 3-pointers.

Nicole Corcoran then knocked down a jumper, and
Olivia Rizzo hit two free-throws for Pitt-Johnstown to cut it to 16 at the one-minute mark, but Natalya Lee's late lay-up and free-throw put Kutztown in front 42-23 at the break.

Kutztown continued to extend its lead in the third quarter. Two more 3-pointers from Altomare pushed it out to 26, and Kelsey's Watson's lay-up midway through the quarter put the Golden Bears up 57-30.

The Lady Cats answered with a 17-6 run of its own, capped by
Leah Hansen's free-throws, to get to within 16 at 63-47 with under a minute remaining in the quarter.

Pitt-Johnstown continued to battle. Kayla DeCricsio's 3-pointer on Pitt-Johnstown's first possession of the fourth quarter got the deficit down to 15, and
Nicole Corcoran hit a 3-pointer with 4:44 on the clock to make it 72-59.

However, Kutztown scored the next 14 points and coasted to the 23-point victory.

Corcoran had 14 points, and
Kayla DeCriscio added 11 points to lead Pitt-Johnstown. Moreland finished with eight points, while McCabe had seven points and eight rebounds, and
Jasmine Harper chipped-in seven points and six rebounds.

Harper moved into 33
rd-place on the Lady Cat All-Time Scoring List with 1,040 points. She is also 16
th on the All-Time Rebounding List with 627 rebounds.

Pitt-Johnstown was held to just 35.7% (20-56) shooting from the floor and 4-15 shooting from behind the 3-point line. The Lady Cats did make 21 of their 25 free-throws. Kutztown ended the night shooting 47.6 (30-63) from the field, 7-16 from 3-point range, and 21-27 from the charity stripe.

Altomare made six 3-pointers and led all scorers with 23 points. Lee tallied 18 points, and Watson had 13 points for the Golden Bears, who improved to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the PSAC Eastern Division.

The Lady Cats travel to a PSAC game at Mansfield University on Saturday, before playing Saint Francis University in a non-conference game at the Cambria County War Memorial on December 12. Pitt-Johnstown will then host a non-conference game against the University of Charleston (WV) on December 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sports Center.
