Along with Clancy's contributions, 
A.J. Leahey and 
Nate Snodgrass both added 16 points each as the Mountain Cats move to 7-2 overall, 4-2 in conference play with the victory.
 
After starting the game trailing 4-0, UPJ eventually scored nine of the next 11 points to obtain a 9-6 lead over Mansfield when Clancy drilled a three-pointer 1:45 into the game. The long range shot was one of three for Clancy as he, Leahey and Snodgrass produced 11 of the team's 12 total three-points shots made.
 
The Mountaineers were able to gain an 11-9 lead when Da'Quan Jones made a shot from beyond the arc with around 17 minutes left in the half. The Mountain Cats were able to answer, however, with an 11-point run that was capped off by a 
Nate Snodgrass layup to give UPJ a 20-11 lead with 13:43 remaining.
 
Five points was the closest Mansfield got to tie the game in the first half after a three-pointer by Andreas Katopodis from an assist by Matt Tamanosky, trailing Pitt-Johnstown 36-31 with 5:40 left until halftime.
 
In the next 2:47, the Mountain Cats raced to a 50-33 lead after a 14-2 run that guided the team to a 52-37 halftime advantage. Pitt-Johnstown were 21-for-37 (56.8%) from the field in the first half while Mansfield made just 13 first half shots on 29 opportunities.
 
UPJ eventually opened up their lead to 20 points at the 16:37 mark in the second half when 
Rich Audu made a three-pointer to put his team up 61-41. Audu finished the game with seven points and two assists in 12 minutes of play.
 
Pitt-Johnstown's biggest lead of the game came when 
Rasaun Mosley drained a layup in the paint with 11:23 remaining to make the score a 76-52 Mountain Cat lead. In the next 3:23, the Mountaineers went on a 13-point run that was completed on a Thomas Moore steal and fastbreak layup.
 
A foul committed by Clancy led to a free throw made by Tamanosky that left Mansfield trailing by seven points, 83-76 with 4:07 left. That was the closest the Mountaineers got the lead as the Mountain Cats closed out the game scoring eight of the last 14 points, which led to a Pitt-Johnstown victory.
 
Moore led Mansfield with 19 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, but the team dropped to 3-7 overall, 1-5 in PSAC play with the loss.
 
The Mountain Cats are to finish their seven-game road trip with games at Gannon University Dec. 19 and Millersville University Jan. 3.  Pitt-Johnstown is to play its next home game on January 6 against Shippensburg University as part of a PSAC doubleheader with the Lady Cats.Â
