A pair of goals from Chloe Work contributed to a 5-0 Edinboro PSAC victory over the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team, Tuesday evening in Edinboro. The Lady Cats slipped to 0-9-0 overall, and 0-9-0 in conference-play.
Alexis Brown opened scoring for the Fighting Scots in the 27
th minute after heading the ball off of a cross from Jansen Hartmann past Pitt-Johnstown keeper 
Leigh Appolonia.
Shortly after, Alexis Becker sent the ball from the left wing to Chloe Work, who finished with a goal to give Edinboro a 2-0 lead at the end of the first half.
A penalty kick in the 52
nd minute given to Edinboro off of a Pitt-Johnstown foul paved way for Jansen Hartmann to score a third goal for the Fighting Scots.
Chloe Work sent the ball to Alex Root from the left wing in the 69
th minute who finished for a fourth Edinboro goal. In turn, Root then passed the ball in front of the net to Work who scored the fifth and final goal for the Fighting Scots in the 73
rd minute to secure the win for Edinboro.
Appolonia suffered a loss in goal after giving up the first three goals and making nine saves. 
Leeann Gorman replaced Appolonia in goal in the 74
th minute and allowed the final two goals.
Sarah Baskey earned the win in goal for Edinboro after facing two Pitt-Johnstown shots and making two saves. The Fighting Scots are now 6-3 overall and 5-2 in the PSAC.
The Lady Cats host a conference match against Mercyhurst University on October 3 at 4:00 p.m., then travel to Slippery Rock University for a PSAC match on October 2 before returning home for a conference match against Lock Haven University on October 10.
