Ana Hollen's 3-pointer with 11 second remaining made it a one-point game, but Pitt-Johnstown's 3-pointer at the buzzer would not fall, and the Lady Cats suffered a 61-59 PSAC road loss at Edinboro University, Saturday afternoon.Â

Jamie Tabon each had 13 points and six rebounds for Pitt-Johnstown, which slipped to 7-11 overall and 4-8 in conference-play.

Following a slow start by both teams, Edinboro used an 11-5 run to open-up a 19-11 lead. Aignee Freeland and Lauren Hippo combined for 10 of the Fighting Scots' first 10 points to give Edinboro a four-point advantage. Katie Fisher followed with a 3-pointer to increase it to seven, before three straight free-throws from Fisher made it 19-11 with 1:34 left in the first quarter

Pitt-Johnstown scored the next seven points to cut it to 19-18 on baskets from Tabon and McCabe and 3-pointer from
Nicole Corcoran's, but Whitney Allen's put-back as time expired in the quarter put the Fighting Scots in front 21-18.

Edinboro quickly regained the momentum and outscored the Lady Cats, 9-2, to push the lead into double figures at 30-20 on Fischer's jumper three minutes into the second quarter.

The Fighting Scots never let Pitt-Johnstown get any closer the seven the rest of the half and got a free-throw from Cheniya Sharpe with four seconds left and took a 36-27 lead into halftime.

Pitt-Johnstown opened the second half with a conventional 3-point play by
Laurel O'Barto and a three-pointer a 3-pointer from McCabe to get to within three.

After Edinboro scored the next four to rebuild its lead to 40-33, Pitt-Johnstown got it down to three on a pair of Agnes Aramina free-throws, but three consecutive makes from the line in the final 13 seconds by Allen and Michelle Jahn in the final 13 seconds gave Edinboro a 47-41 advantage entering the fourth quarter.

However, the Lady Cats could not get over the hump. Edinboro got its lead back out to seven at 54-47 on Freeland's lay-up and free-throw at the five-minute mark. Pitt-Johnstown's continued to battle and got Hollen's 3-pointer to cut it to 60-59 with 11 second left. Fischer then hit one of two from the line to make it a 2-point game. Pitt-Johnstown had one final chance, but Kayla's DeCriscio's 3-pointer at the horn did not drop.

Along with McCabe and Tabon's 13 points and six rebounds, Pitt-Johnstown also got 11 points and seven rebounds from Harper. Hollen finished with five points and five assists, and Corcoran scored five points for the Lady Cats.

th-place on the Lady Cat All-Time Scoring List with 1,160 points. Harper is also12
th on the All-Time Rebounding List with 701 rebounds.

Neither team had a good day shooting. Pitt-Johnstown shot 38.2% (21-55) from the field, 5-19 from 3-point range, and 12-19 from the free-throw line. Edinboro, which held a 45-35 advantage in rebounds, was held to just 31.7% (19-60) shooting, including just 3-14 from behind the 3-point line. The Fighting Scots got the job drone from the charity stripe, connecting on 20-27.

Fisher tallied a game-high 18 points, and Freeland chipped-in 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Fighting Scots, who made it three straight wins and improved to 12-6 overall and 7-5 in the PSAC Western Division.

The Lady Cats travel to Slippery Rock for a PSAC game on Wednesday, before returning home to host a conference doubleheader with the Mountain Cats against Clarion on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. in the Sports Center.Â
