Zhane Brooks and Marina Wareham each scored 16 first half points to help Indiana (PA) race out to a 17-point first half advantage on their way to leading the Crimson Hawks to a 72-59 PSAC Western Division victory over the Lady Cats, Wednesday night in Indiana.Â
Jasmine Harper had nine points and five rebounds to lead Pitt-Johnstown, which dropped its ninth straight game and fell to 7-19 overall and 4-16 on conference-play.

Jamie Tabon's lay-up gave Pitt-Johnstown an early 6-2 lead, but it was all IUP after that. The Crimson Hawks closed out the first quarter with a 21-4 run to build a 13 point advantage.

After falling behind early, IUP scored the next 10 points, including a basket by Brooks to go in front by six. Wareham's jumper pushed it into double figures, before Brooks' free-throw with 32 seconds left in the quarter made it 23-10.

The Crimson Hawks pushed it out to 29-12 four minutes into the second quarter on two Alexis Aikens' free-throws.

Pitt-Johnstown was able to narrow it to 31-19 on
Ana Hollen's bucket, but IUP quickly got it back out to 15 at the five minute mark.

The Lady Cats scored final five points of the half to cut it to 36-26 when Harper connected on a late free-throw of her own.

Olivia McCabe's bucket in the paint to begin the third quarter got Pitt-Johnstown to within eight, but IUP regained control and outscored the Lady Cats, 20-8, over the next eight minutes to go up by 20.

Back-to-back 3-pointers from Wareham, followed by Megan Smith's basket at 1:50 capped the run and made it 56-36.

Pitt-Johnstown continued to battle and got a conventional 3-pointer from Harper and a 3-pointer from
Nicole Corcoran with to get it down to 14, before
Kayla DeCriscio hit a pair of free-throws with four seconds remaining to get the Lady Cats to within 12 at 56-44 entering the fourth quarter.

However, Wareham knocked down two more 3-pointers to spark an 11-0 Crimson Hawks' run to open the final quarter, and Pitt-Johnstown was never able to recover.

The IUP lead ballooned to as many as 31 on two occasions, before going on to the lopsided victory.

Harper currently stands in 16th-place on the Lady Cat All-Time Scoring List with 1,271points and 11
th on the all-time rebounding list with 739 rebounds.

Along with Harper's nine points and five rebounds, Pitt-Johnstown also got seven points apiece from
Agnese Aramina and
Olivia Rizzo. McCabe had six points and five rebounds, and Tabon scored six points for the Lady Cats.

Pitt-Johnstown, which was out-rebounded 40-24, shot 41.7% (20-48) from the field, 3-8 from behind the 3-point line, and 9-11 from the free-throw line. IUP ended the night shooting 46.6% (27-58) from the floor, 10-22 from 3-point range, and 15-24 from the charity stripe.

Wareham went 8-of-9 from behind the 3-point line to finish with a game-high 28 points. Brooks had 23 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, while Leslie Stapleton and Smith each had a dozen points for the Crimson Hawks, who improved to 19-6 overall and 16-5 in the PSAC West.

The Lady Cats travel to Clarion for a PSAC game on Saturday, before closing out the 2015-16 season with a conference doubleheader with the Mountain Cats against Slippery Rock on Wednesday at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. in the Sports Center.Â
