West Chester University broke open a two goal halftime lead by scoring three more in the second half to defeat the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team, 5-0, in Saturday's PSAC home-opener at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. The Lady Cats slipped to 0-2-0 overall and 0-2-0 in conference-play.

Appolonia, who faced 32 West Chester shots allowed all five goals and made eight saves. Alex Srolis and McKenna Mullin combined for the shutout in net for the Golden Eagles after seeing just two Pitt-Johnstown shots. Neither West Chester goalkeepers had to make a save.

The Lady Cats travel to Clarion on Wednesday for a PSAC match, before hosting conference matches at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field against East Stroudsburg on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and Shippensburg on September 13 at 1:30 p.m.
