Pitt-Johnstown won seven of the 10 bouts, including the first three to open-up a 12-point lead, on its way to a 24-9 PSAC victory at Gannon University on Saturday.  The 10^th-raanked Mountain Cats improved to 10-2 overall and 4-0 in the PSAC.
 
Pitt-Johnstown used a 9-2 decision from Zeke Beatty over Abraham Guarriello to start, and a forfeit win by Joe Davis at 133 lbs. to take a quick 9-0 lead.
 
At 141 lbs., Chris Eddins rode John Marotto the entire second period and used that riding time point to defeat Marotto, 3-2 to increase the lead to 12-0.
 
Gannon got on the board at 149 lbs. when Giovanni Ciotti battled back from an 8-3 third period deficit to down Corey Falleroni, 9-8, but top-ranked Cody Law got the Mountain Cats going again with a solid 10-3 decision over No. 12 Eric Lewandowski at 157 lbs.
 
The Golden Knights answered with a 5-3 win by Garrett Smith at 165 lbs., before Pitt-Johnstown's No. 11-ranked John Blankenship held on for a 7-5 decision over Jake Stratton at 174 lbs. to increase the lead to 18-6.
 
Gannon stayed alive with Nick Costa's 13-11 win over Levi Niebauer, at 184 lbs., but the Mountain Cats sealed the win at 197 lbs. after Nico Pecora upended Ethan Budd, 6-4.
 
Leading 21-9 with just one bout remaining, No. 11 D.J. Sims closed it out with a 6-5 win over Nick Budd at 285 lbs. to set the final at 24-9.
 
With the loss, Gannon slipped to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the PSAC.
 
Pitt-Johnstown travels to a non-conference match at Wheeling Jesuit (WV) on Friday and to a PSAC match at Millersville on February 3, before returning home to celebrate Senior Night against Shippensburg on February 7 at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
