Marissa Erminio finished with a match-high 14 kills, and
Noelle Carota added 11 kills to lead the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team to a 3-sets-to-none PSAC sweep at Lock Haven University, Tuesday evening. The Mountain Cats raised their record to 15-5 overall and 5-2 in the PSAC Central Division.
Pitt-Johnstown took the opening set 25-18, before earning a 25-15 win to go up 2-sets-to-none. The Mountain Cats closed it out with another 25-18 victory.
Along with her 14 kills, Erminio had 10 digs, a block, and a pair of service aces, while Carota had 11 kills and two blocks to lead Pitt-Johnstown.
Maura Brehl collected eight kills and a block, had five kills and two blocks, and
Caitlin Vrabel chipped in a kill and three blocks.
In addition,
J.C. Longeville led everyone with 21 set assists and tallied eight digs, and
Allison Mondorff had 16 assists and three digs.
Devan Orr also had a match-high 18 digs for the Mountain Cats.
Lock Haven, which fell to 9-10 overall and 2-5 in the PSAC Central, was led by Breanna McDonald's eight kills, and Chloe Williams' five kills and three blocks.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to PSAC matches at East Stroudsburg on Friday and Kutztown on Saturday, before hosting conference matches against Shippensburg on October 20 and Millersville on October 21.
