Devan Orr finished with a match-high 31 digs to break the PSAC Career Digs Record and help the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball to a four-set PSAC victory over California University (PA), Friday night in the Sports Center. The Mountain Cats improved to 19-6 overall and 9-3 in the PSAC Central Division.
Orr, who entered Friday's match 28 digs shy of breaking Rhianon Brady's (Clarion) PSAC career record of 2,682 set in 20-11, broke it late in the final set. Orr went on to pick-up four more digs after breaking the record and stands at 2,686.

Pitt-Johnstown took the first set 25-21, but the Vulcans responded with a 25-20 win to knot it at one. However, the Mountain Cats don a lopsided 25-15 third set, and held on for a 25-20 win to seal the match in the fourth set.
California (PA) got off to a quick start and climbed out to a 7-3 opening-set lead, but Pitt-Johnstown came back with a 10-5 run to go in front 13-12 on
Maura Brehl's kill and a Vulcans' attack error.
Noelle Carota's kill increased the Mountain Cats' lead to five, before California (PA) cut it to 23-21 on three straight Pitt-Johnstown attack errors. Pitt-Johnstown then closed out the 25-21 win with a
Cambria Wierman kills and another Vulcans' error.
The Vulcans started fast again in the second set, and this time, they were able to hold on for a 25-20 victory. California (PA) opened-up a 12-4 advantage on a Rachel Priore kills and a Mountain Cat error. Pitt-Johnstown clawed back to tie it on
Kendall Mahony's kill and went in front 16-15 on
Marissa Erminio's kill. California (PA) recovered and retook the lead 17-16 and went on the five-point win with Prire's kill.
It was all Pitt-Johnstown in the third set. The Mountain Cats got a service ace from
Allison Mondorff to double-up the Vulcans, 10-5, in the early going and extended it to 18-10 with kills from Brehl and Carota. Pitt-Johnstown then got the lead into double digits at 22-12, before wrapping-up the 25-15 win on
Caitlin Vrabel and Wierman kills.

The Vulcans kept the fourth set close early, but Pitt-Johnstown was able to climb out to a 20-16 lead on
Coco Kordenbrock's ace. California (PA) came back to outscore the Mountain Cats 6-3 to narrow the gap to 23-20 on Ashley Leto's ace, but Pitt-Johnstown closed out the 25-20 win with Mondorff's ace and Carota's kill.
Erminio and Wierman tied for match-high with 12 kills apiece to lead Pitt-Johnstown. Erminio also had 15 digs and a block, while Wierman had two aces, two blocks and seven digs. The Mountain Cats also got nine kills and two blocks from Mahony, seven kills and three blocks from Carota, and seven kills from Brehl.
Mondorff led the way with a match-high 21 set assists, 12 digs, and a pair aces, and
J.C. Longeville had 20 assists and eight digs for the Mountain Cats.
Priore's nine kills and three blocks, and Lois van Schaik's nine kills and five blocks paced the Vulcans, who slipped to 12-11 overall and 6-6 in the PSAC Southwest.
Pitt-Johnstown will host a PSAC match against Seton Hill on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Sports Center, before traveling to PSAC matches at Clarion next weekend.
