
Pitt-Johnstown got goals from
Marisa Lizins and
Kaitlyn Eckley to jump out to a one-goal halftime advantage, but Shippensburg came back with three unanswered second half goals to pick-up a 4-2 PSAC victory over the Mountain Cat women's soccer team, Saturday afternoon in Shippensburg. Pitt-Johnstown dropped to 1-10-1 overall and 1-9-1 on conference-play.
Pitt-Johnstown took an early 1-0 lead in the 10
th minute on Lizins' goal from just in front of the net off of an assist from
Abby LaDuke, but Shippensburg answered eight minutes later to tie it when Taylor Moore beat Mountain Cat goalkeeper
Leigh Appolonia.
With nine minutes remaining in the first half, Pitt-Johnstown was to regain the lead after Eckley took Kyra Watkin's pass at the top of the box and scored from eight yards out.
However, Izzy Weigel knotted it at two in the 55
th minute off a shot from the top of the box, before Tori Mills finished Mallory Patterson's long through ball gave Shippensburg its first lead of the day.

Weigel then added a penalty kick goal with five minutes left in regulation, before Kelsy Fitzgerald's goal off of a corner kick in the final seconds set the final at 5-2.
Appolonia took the loss in net for the Mountain Cats after facing 17 Red Raider shots and making three saves.
Shippensburg, which improved to 3-8-1 overall and 2-8-0 in the PSAC, got one save on seven shots from goalkeeper Delane Shifflett.
Pitt-Johnstown will host a non-conference match against Alderson-Broaddus (WV) on Tuesday at 3 p.m., before traveling to a PSAC match at East Stroudsburg on Friday.
