The fifth-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers fell behind early, but won six of the final eight bouts, including second-ranked Tyler Reinhart's first period fall over 10^th-ranked Christian Price, on its way to a 25-12 win at No. 10 Ashland (OH) University, Saturday afternoon.  The Mountain Cats improved to 5-1.
 
Ashland jumped out to an early 6-0 lead with decision wins in the first bouts.  Sebastian Vidika got a takedown with 30 seconds remaining to defeat Matt Siszka at 125 lbs., and Jerry Fenner followed with a 12-5 win over Sam Holandez at 133 lbs.
 
Pitt-Johnstown bounced right back to tie it.  Sixth-ranked Chris Eddins scored an 11-7 decision over 12^th-ranked Lawrance Dudgeon at 141 lbs., and Corey Falleroni got a takedown and two back points with under 10 seconds left in the third period to defeat Dustin Marteney, 8-6, at 149 lbs.
 
At 157 lbs., Cody Law's takedown with just five seconds left gave him a 22-7 technical fall over Garrett Hall to put the Mountain Cats in front for the first time.
 
The Eagles cut the deficit to 11-9 at 165 lbs. when third-ranked Bret Romanzak held off 11^th-ranked Devin Austin, 3-1, at 165 lbs., but Reinhart pinned No. 10 Price at 2:29 to increase the Mountain Cats' lead to 17-9.
 
Steve Edwards followed with a 12-0 major decision over Trevyon Terry, before No. 10 Levi Niebauer dealt Noah Jakubas 13-0 major decision loss at 197 lbs. to extend it to 25-9 and seal the victory for Pitt-Johnstown.
 
In the final bout of the day, 10^th-ranked Deacon McCoy got a takedown 38 seconds into the first overtime of down 11^th-ranked D.J. Sims, 3-1 and set the final at 25-12.
 
Ashland is now 0-1.
 
Pitt-Johnstown travels to the 2017 PSAC Championships on Saturday and to the 2017 Midwest Classic in Indianapolis on December 16-17.  The Mountain Cats will wrestle their next home match on January 20 when Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University visits the Sports Center.
