D.J. Vogelman each scored goals to help a young Mountain Cat men's soccer team open the 2017 with a 2-2 overtime draw with Shepherd (WV) University, Saturday afternoon at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.

Shepherd's Luis Prado scored his first of two goals 10 minutes into the match on a shot that deflected off a Pitt-Johnstown defender that landed in the back of the net.

The Mountain Cats answered at the end of the first half on when Kuhn finished Vogelman's assist in the 44
th minute.

Prado, who registered five shots on goal, netted his second goal of the day in the 66
th minute to put the Rams back in front, but Vogelman tied it on a penalty kick with 13 minutes remaining in regulation.

The Mountain Cats will travel to Wilmington, DE. For a non-conference match against Goldey-Beacom College on Thursday, before opening PSAC-play with a home match against Gannon on Wednesday, September 13.
