Marissa Erminio finished with a match-high 12 kills as Pitt-Johnstown cruised to a convincing 25-17, 25-18, 25-14 sweep over West Liberty (WV) University in Friday's opening round of the Walsh University Cavalier Classic in North Canton, OH.

Erminio also had 11 digs, two service aces, and an assist to go along with her 12 kills.Â
Cambria Wierman had nine kills and 11 digs, while
Kendall Mahony, who collected a match-high four aces, and
Maura Brehl each had five kills and a pair of block assists for Pitt-Johnstown. The Mountain Cats also got four kills from
Caitlin Vrabel and three kills from
Noelle Carota.

Allison Mondorff tallied a match-high 17 set assists and eight digs, and
J.C. Longeville chipped-in 11 assists and four digs in the sweep.Â
Devan Orr's 21 digs paced all players.

West Liberty, which slipped to 4-2 on the year, was led by Stephanie Leonard's seven kills and eight digs, and Amanda Leonard's four kills, 11 assists, and 13 digs.

Pitt-Johnstown will take on Roberts Wesleyan (NY) College in Friday's second round of the tournament, before closing it out on Saturday against Fort Hays State (KS) University at 9 a.m. and Walsh at 3 p.m.
