After suffering a pair of tough losses to nationally-ranked opponents, the Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers rolled over Super Region I rival Kutztown University, 33-9, Thursday evening to close out the 2018 Division II Wrestling Duals in Fort Wayne, Ind.  The Mountain Cats, who improved to 6-3, got falls from Chris Eddins (141 lbs.) and Devin Austin (165 lbs.) in the lopsided victory.
 
It was all Pitt-Johnstown from the opening bout.  At 125 lbs., Brendan Howard got things started with a 5-3 Sudden Victory 2 win over Austin Petril.  After Pitt-Johnstown was deducted a team point, Sam Holandez defeated Lucas Miller, 8-3, at 133 lbs., before fifth-ranked Chris Eddins pinned Anthony Petril at 1:59 to give the Mountain Cats an 11-0 lead.
 
Corey Falleroni earned a 4-1 decision over Chad Haegele at 149 lbs., before second-ranked Cody Law won a 15-4 major decision over Michael O'Brien at 157 to increase it to 18-0.
 
The Mountain Cats kept it going and pushed it out to 24-0 at 165 lbs. when Devin Austin pinned Connor Rogovitch in under 30 seconds.
 
Steve Edwards downed James Meyer at 174 lbs. to build the lead to 27-0, before Kutztown got on the scoreboard and narrowed it to 27-9 with a fall at 184 lbs. And a decision win at 197 lbs.
 
Pitt-Johnstown closed it out and set the final at 33-9 after D.J. Sims was awarded a forfeit victory at 285 lbs.
 
With the loss, the Golden Bears dropped to 1-5 on the season.
 
Pitt-Johnstown travels to Lake Erie (OH) on January 12 and Seton Hill on January 16, before hosting Wheeling Jesuit (WV) on January 20 at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
