Maura Brehl had 14 kills, one block, and 14 digs to lead the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team to a 25-12, 28-26, 25-16 non-conference sweep over Point Park, Wednesday night in the Sports Center. The Mountain Cats improved to 11-10 on the season.
Along with Brehl,
Noelle Carota had six kills, while
Tatiana Pitcher and
Lauren Gechter collected four kills apiece for Pitt-Johnstown. The Mountain Cats also got three kills and a pair of blocks from
Caitlin Vrabel and three kills from
Grace Miller.
J.C. Longeville and
Morgan Yurkovich each had 18 set assists, and
Erin Carmody finished with a team-high 24 digs for Pitt-Johnstown.
With the loss, Point Park slipped to 12-7.
Pitt-Johnstown closes out its five-game home stand in the Sports Center with PSAC matches against Lock Haven on Friday at 7 p.m. and Bloomsburg on Saturday at 1 p.m., before traveling to conference matches at Gannon on October 19 and Mercyhurst on October 20.
