The Pitt-Johnstown women's volleyball team will close out its five-game home stand in the Sports Center with PSAC matches against Lock Haven on Friday at 7 p.m. and Bloomsburg on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Pitt-Johnstown enters the weekend at 11-10 overall and 5-4 in the PSAC Central Division following Wednesday's non-conference sweep over Point Park.Â
Maura Brehl's 14 kills and 14 digs paced the Mountain Cats. The Mountain Cats also swept a PSAC match from Millersville last Friday and suffered a five-set conference loss to West Chester on Saturday.

Lock Haven, 8-10 overall and 3-6 in the PSAC Central under third-year Head Coach Shannon Gerencir, had its three-match winning streak snapped following Saturday's four-set home loss to Kutztown. Gabrielle Stick had 14 kills to pace the Bald Eagles.

Last season, Pitt-Johnstown swept a pair of PSAC matches from Lock Haven. On October 10,
Marissa Erminio had 14 kills and
Noelle Carota added 11 kills in a 25-18, 25-18, 25-18 Mountain Cat sweep in Lock Haven. Less than a month later on November 7, Pitt-Johnstown got 14 more kills from Erminio on its way to a 25-12, 25-16, 25-15 sweep in the Sports Center.

Bloomsburg is in its first season as an NCAA Division II sport and is 5-13 overall and 1-8 in the PSAC Central. Coach Dan Kreiger's Huskies picked up their first PSAC win by sweeping Kutztown last Friday. Sarah Gomish finished with a match-high 15 kills for Bloomsburg. The Huskies then suffered a four set loss to East Stroudsburg on Saturday.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to PSAC matches at Gannon and Mercyhurst next weekend, before returning home to host conference matches against Edinboro on October 26 and Slippery Rock on October 27.
